SAINT-PATRICK’S PREPARATORY SCHOOL

The school is the main project of Kids For Uganda.

Since about 50% of the Ugandan population is made up of children younger than 16 years old, the need for schools is very high.

Education in Uganda is not free. The government is making efforts to make education affordable for many families, which then results in state schools being overcrowded. Classes of more than 100 students per teacher are not unusual, which means a quality education is as good as impossible..

St Patrick’s wants to offer quality education, and thus limits the number of students per class.

When the entire complex is finished, it will allow for the schooling of at least 80 pre-school children in 4 classrooms and 280 students in 7 grades.

A boarding school will also be associated with the school, where up to 100 boys and 100 girls could be accommodated. A number of places will be reserved for orphaned children.

The daily running of the school in the hands of the Bannakaroli Brothers (Brothers of Christian Instruction), a Ugandan Christian brotherhood who already manages several schools, and thus have the right experience.

Below you will find information on the progress of the construction.

The FLOORPLAN of the entire school can be found here
